Raisin Day, Dinuba – 09/29/18

So much to say about the event today! It was extra special because my husband had the day off and we were able to watch our son perform with the Orosi High School marching band in the parade and then work together at my booth as a family. An added bonus was spending the day with my new co-worker, Mari. (Yes, another Mari!) 😆

I listened to an old friend from high school share about the pain and loss of her 4 children through miscarriage, talked to two excited young women who are expecting their first child, had a great conversation with two older women who said I should be in ALL of the schools teaching and ended up with elementary school students as little helpers. Melanie and Melissa soaked in everything we said to them and spent the rest of the afternoon bringing more of their friends and family to come see our booth. They even memorized what we taught them and began teaching others!

I’m so tired but I absolutely love what I do and the beautiful people I get to meet. #LifeIsPrecious #Education #Communication ~ Mari Lupercio, Latinos4Life Director
